Heart of Texas Robotics Rule Change
HOT Robotics is sponsoring a special raffle to reward teams for strategic gameplay and scoring precision. Teams earn raffle entries by successfully scoring the neutral “Clark” (silver) or “Peggy” (purple) samples during official matches. Five teams will each win a $100 donation—winners announced during breaks on May 17–18!
Select the drop-down below for more details on eligibility.
During each official match, two special neutral samples will be introduced:
Silver Sample: Named “Clark”
Purple Sample: Named “Peggy”
To qualify for a raffle entry, a team must successfully score either a Clark or a Peggy sample during that match.
"Scoring" is defined as placing the sample in a designated scoring zone as per standard game rules.
These samples act as neutral samples according to the competition manual.
Each match provides a new opportunity to qualify. Teams can earn multiple entries by scoring Clark or Peggy samples in multiple matches.
Entry Tracking:
A designated official will track and verify which teams scored Clark or Peggy samples during each match.
All verified entries will be logged and associated with the corresponding team.
Drawing Details:
Raffle winners will be announced during breaks on the 17th and during playoff matches on the 18th.
Five (5) teams will be randomly selected from the pool of qualifying entries.
A team can win only once, regardless of the number of entries.
Announcement of Winners:
Winning teams will be announced on the microphone in the main competition gym and the pit gym during breaks and down times.
Notes:
This raffle is designed to encourage teams to adapt to dynamic gameplay and recognize tactical scoring efforts.
Only legal, rule-compliant match play will be considered for qualification.
